Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is now offering Pictometry to municipalities and emergency response organizations throughout Montgomery County. Pictometry is a computer program that utilizes aerial photographs captured at oblique angles, enabling users to gain numerous views of an area and from that acquire valuable planning information. The uses for pictometry include accurately measuring the square footage of a building, supplying pictures for accident reconstructions, measuring building elevations, training, preplanning hose lay distances from water supplies and many more.
Pictometry is available to all municipalities and emergency response organizations with Montgomery County
